Test card suite

The new test card suite empowers Google Pay developers to run integration and API tests without the need to add a real credit card in their Google Account.

Note: The test card suite is only available in TEST environments.

We recommend that you test your integration before you take it live. To do so, add your email to our FPAN test card suite group. If you need these cards to behave as DPANs, add your email to our DPAN test card suite group as well. This sets up your account so that when you open the payment sheet with the environment variable set to TEST, you see a suite of test cards instead of the cards associated with your account in production. Those test cards will return as FPAN or DPAN, whenever possible, depending on the group(s) you joined.

This suite is intended to help you complete the integration checklist to streamline the approval process in our Google Pay & Wallet Console so that you can request production access.

You're free to leave or join these test card groups as needed. To leave, select My membership settings and click Leave group.

Gateway test cards

Warning: Gateway test cards are not available for integrations using any PaymentDataCallbacks options.

Note: Only some Gateway-provided test cards support DPAN. If a Gateway-provided test card doesn't support DPAN, it will return an FPAN even if you are in the DPAN test card suite group. Refer to your gateway's documentation for details on which cards support DPAN. DPANs are only available on android devices.

When you use the test suite with an eligible gateway, you see a list of test cards supplied by the gateway instead of our mock test card suite. When the payment sheet flow generates the PaymentData object, the selected card value is encrypted into the provided token. This lets you pass it to the gateway's test environment and receive the expected response. The Test Card Suite supports the following gateways:

Note: Use the public issue tracker for PSP test cards to file any issues you discover using this product feature. Make sure to check and contribute to existing issues before you create new ones. Refer to your gateway's documentation to troubleshoot unexpected responses received when using gateway test cards.

Warning: The four mock test cards (see the Mock test cards section below) are also available and display after any gateway test cards. Sending tokens created using these cards to a processor will result in an error.

Mock test cards

• Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Amex card networks
• The PAN_ONLY authentication method
• A single billing address in the US
• Shipping addresses in the US, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Poland, Russia, and Singapore

Warning: The test suite should only be used to test the behavior of the payment sheet and mock its output format. It does not provide data intended for use in production. Mock test cards aren't intended for use in end-to-end testing. Sending tokens created using these cards to a processor will result in an error.
