There are tens of thousands of compatible device models that are commercially available and that set grows every day. Wear OS by Google devices
Wear OS devices run Android, just like phones and tablets do. Accordingly, the tokenization behavior for Wear OS device is very similar to the behavior on a phone or tablet.
Key differences:
- Wear OS devices are paired with a phone.
- Users enter card details through the paired phone since Wear OS devices have small screens.
- Wear OS devices can be paired with Android or iOS phones.
- The app to app ID&V method does not work on iOS devices and is removed as an option.
For a list of countries that support Google Pay on Wear OS and additional user facing documentation, refer to the Pay with your smartwatch support article for Wear OS.
As with other Android devices, support for Google Pay is based on hardware capabilities and the software running on the device. This means we don't maintain a comprehensive list of supported devices.
