To certify your Google Wallet open loop payments, complete the following phases:

Phase 1: Pre-launch |
- Implement transit operator EMV enhancements.
- Ensure that the firmware and software for all terminals are up to date.
- Provide access for Google to test them in a lab or in real stations.
- Send testers with the top 20 Android-powered devices in the region to perform
tests.
- Test stability and tap success rates.
- Perform card verification method (CVM) checks.
- Address all launch-blocking bugs.

Phase 2: Post-launch |
- Keep terminals up to date with the latest specification.
- To identify issues, continue tests at a reduced frequency.
- Monitor tap trends over time.
- To increase awareness, implement marketing and promotions.
