A geo target constant is a unique identifier for a geographical region that can be targeted by a campaign. Each targetable location is uniquely identified by a Criterion ID.
The resource_name
of each geo_target_constant
is of the form geoTargetConstants/{Criterion ID}
.
For example, the resource_name value of New York state is
geoTargetConstants/21167
.

- Criterion ID
- Unique and persistent assigned ID.
- Name
- Best available English name of the geo target.
- Canonical Name
- The constructed fully qualified English name consisting of the target's own name, and that of its parent and country. This field is meant only for disambiguating similar target names.
- Parent Geo Target
- The resource name of the parent geo target constant. This field is included only for legacy support, so Ids might not be consistent across datasets.
- Country Code
- The ISO-3166-1 alpha-2 country code that is associated with the target.

Non-targetable locations
Some countries or territories are not targetable in Search Ads 360 but might appear in reports based on the user's location of interest or physical location.
